Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you ask us to review a scan, and when you use this website.

Draft for legal review · October 2026

This website is run by Secondread Ltd, trading as Second Opinion Radiology, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17360526. Registered office: Unit 7 Twelve O’Clock Court, 21 Attercliffe Road, Sheffield, S4 7WW.

About these terms

These terms apply when you order a second-opinion report from us. Please read them before you pay. When you place an order we will email you a copy, and the version that applied to your order stays available on request.

What the service is

A consultant radiologist registered with the General Medical Council reviews the scan images you send us and writes a report on them. The report is an opinion on the images and the information you give us. It is not a diagnosis made in person, and it does not replace your own doctor’s care.

  • We report on the images supplied. We do not perform scans.
  • If images are missing, incomplete or unreadable, we will tell you before reporting starts.
  • We do not take over your medical care. Please share the report with your GP or treating clinician.

Prices and payment

The price is shown before you pay: £250 for a standard report, or £300 if we also compare your earlier scans. Optional extras, three written questions (£50) and a 10-minute video call (£150), are added only if you choose them. No VAT is charged on this service.

Turnaround

We aim to return every report within 48 hours. Your 48 hours start once your images have passed our checks. If we cannot meet that time for your case, we will tell you.

Your right to cancel

You can cancel within 14 days of placing your order. If you ask us to start work during those 14 days and then cancel, we may charge for the work already done. Once your report has been delivered, the service is complete and the right to cancel ends.

If something goes wrong

If you think your report contains an error, tell us at info@secondopinionradiology.co.uk and the reporting radiologist will look at it again. We aim to deal with all such queries within 7 days of receiving the email.

Our responsibility to you

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

[Any other limits of liability: to be confirmed by the adviser.]

Your information

How we use your personal and health information is explained in our privacy notice.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
