Who is responsible for your information

Secondread Ltd is the controller of the personal information described here. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZC263771. You can contact us about your information at info@secondopinionradiology.co.uk.

What this website collects

• Questions sent through “Ask us first”: your email address and what you write. Your question may include health information.
• Emails you send us and calls you make to us.
• Technical information your browser sends, kept in server logs for security for up to seven years.

Orders, scan uploads and reports are handled in our separate ordering service, which has its own privacy information.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To answer your question. Our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries, or taking steps you ask for before a contract.
• Health information you choose to include. Your explicit consent, given when you send it, or the provision of health care where you go on to use the service.
• To keep the website secure. Our legitimate interest in protecting it.

Who sees it

Questions are emailed to our team and are not stored on the website. We use service providers to host the website and to send and receive email; they act on our instructions. We never sell your information, and we never share it for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for six months and then deleted, unless you go on to use the service. Medical records are kept for seven years.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and, where we rely on consent, withdraw that consent at any time.
